Getting there

The following information should help you with getting to the weekend!

Where is the event?

This weekend will be ran at:

Second Stalybridge Scout Headquarters,
Rear Off 61 Stamford Drive,
Stalybridge,
SK15 1QT

Alternatively:

By Road

From the M60, exit at Junction 23 and head east along the A635. Pass through Ashton-under-Lyne until you reach Stamford Park. Exit right onto the B6431, heading southwards. Take the second left, onto Stamford Drive. The venue is behind the number 61

By Rail

Stalybridge station is a short (under 10 minutes) walk from the venue. This is on the Huddersfield Line and is serviced by both Transpennine Express and Northern.

By Air

The nearest main airport is Manchester Airport. From there, you can get a train in Manchester (either Piccadilly or Victoria) and then onto Stalybridge. This journey is about 40 minutes total.

Given Scouts of the World Award is about sustainability however, please do consider if this is the most appropriate form of transport for you. We appreciate some people might however be travelling from further afield, and therefore air travel is less avoidable, especially given other committements or cost negating the possibility of long train journeys. If you do travel by air, you may wish to consider carbon offsetting your travel through a provider such as atmosfair.
